Ricky Lau is the Founder and the Principal of Lau & Co, Solicitors & Notaries. He has a wealth of knowledge and a wide range of experience in all disciplines of a solicitor’s general practice. Over the years, Ricky has accrued significant experience in complex civil and criminal litigation, having represented clients and appeared in both civil and criminal courts. He maintains a busy business law practice, advising entrepreneurs and businesses, from small enterprises to listed companies, on a broad spectrum of corporate and commercial law and regulatory matters, as well as representing them in drafting and litigating all kinds of commercial contracts. He also has an active family law practice and has obtained financial compensation for many people suffering from personal injury. In addition, Ricky routinely handles probate and intellectual property matters. Apart from being a solicitor, he is a Notary Public, China-Appointed Attesting Officer and Civil Celebrant of Marriages.
Ricky is currently a Panel member of the Legal Aid Panel (both civil and criminal cases). He served as a member of Disciplinary Panel (Panel A) of Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants and a Panel member of the Free Legal Advice Service Scheme provided by Hong Kong Housing Society. He is the legal advisor of various corporations, organizations and incorporated owners and is an independent non-executive director and the company secretary of different listed and private companies. When he is not practicing law, Ricky spends the majority of his time with his wife and two kids.

Jennifer completed a double degree program of Bachelor of Arts (Literary Studies) and Bachelor of Laws in the University of Hong Kong and obtained the Postgraduate Certificate in Laws from the same institution. Jennifer joined Lau & Co, Solicitors & Notaries as a Trainee Solicitor in 2020. She qualified as a solicitor in 2021 upon completion of her training contract and stayed in the firm as an Assistant Solicitor. Jennifer has assisted in a wide range of cases including personal injury claims, family dispute cases, criminal litigation, fraud claims, and employment disputes. She also has experience in drafting commercial contracts and has assisted in general corporate and commercial matters and insolvency matters. Jennifer is fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin. In her leisure time, she enjoys playing guitar and going hiking with her family.
